Wicked

So Saturday night was fun. Actually the day was pretty fun too. Started out sleeping in from a long week of getting up at the butt crack of before dawn. So yeah my body thought 7:30 was late enough.. woah someone needs to tell my body that weekends warrant at least an 8am wake up call. Oh well I guess it's good that my body is getting used to this regiment.. maybe I can be taught. Ok then I went to play practice at CBC and then a fun shopping day at Old Slavery. It was $12 door buster jean day.. ok no so thrilling to me.. but to Heather and Juilanka who live in jeans pretty big deal. I ended up getting a pair for mom and I and i fun sweater for moi. Yeah so afterwards we began to get ready for Wicked... Yay.. excitement.. I wanted to get all swankified b/c it's a play at an actual theater. So las chicas thought we should dawn dresses.. we even made Julianka buy a dress.
Pre-Wicked dinner.. yum thai food. had fun all 7 of us.. danny, smiley snack, and two chicks i didn't know-- bre and amanda.. I hear family style dining.. but yeah I ate a little too much i think.. but oh boy can the thai get down with some old school Micheal Jackson. Sad that thriller was on when we were leaving cuz I think I would have busted out some dance moves on their karaoke stage.

Ok now Wicked.. ok just being outside the theater was exciting. The vintage theater with it's old art deco framing and flashback feel was inviting. Inside ahhh the smell of weathered upholsted chairs. Years and years of opening nights and standing ovations and I was gonna be another person to sit upon the burgundy tuft.
Not going into detail at all cuz this was definitely amazing and a must see for yourself. The talent of these actors was beyond anything I could image.. and yeah I cried a little when the lady who played Elefaba sang.. dang can that lady sang! I am always so amazed at the great talent that God so richly bestowed on us.
