Holiday fun

So.. though in my last last post-- i seemed to paint this bah hum bugness about holidays which I realize many people love this time of year. I did have wonderful moments with amazing people that I love...
At thanksgiving I had a great time with my honey running a 5K in Long Beach. Go Turkey Trot- Miss E. you are definitely doing this one next year.. but the torrance one
Had a quiet low key day with mi family and the 2nd round of turkey.. oh how i love that bird that makes me sleepy
Then the trip up to Santa Maria-- yay Oroarks times 2. Beautiful ride up with Elisabeth and then let the eating festivities begin. Sooooo much dessert-- thanks to amy-- went into a little coma. past out on the couch. Got to ride the harley con Gabe and it was freezing but fun.. saw miss susie. Leilani knitted me a scarf and we sang worship songs ---- this was a good weekend. I heart miss Dini( what kind of a name is Dini) and Kevin for their super hospitality-- and the best part.. I had control of the little train-- how sweet is that?
So that was thanksgiving
Onto Christmas.. no so bad.. low key morn with yummy ham con mis padres entonces voy a cenar con mi novio -- yummy lasagna. Got a beautiful necklace from Adam and cool scarf from holly burr. Then the longest day ever --monday after Christmas heavy day planned. Got to use our birthday gift cards finally.. so Adam and I saw Sherlock Holmes, had dunch--
(that's for you oroark) at CPK and then the Kings hocky game.. uber fun-- Kings lost :-( but the fans made it worthwhile.... then my poor hospital prone dad had to go to ER and I got 3 hours of sleep before going into work late... But again all in God's perspective as I'm remembering these last few weeks.. What's most important Astrid-- People.. Jesus cared most for the people and their souls.... and I should as well. So the holiday season did have it's wonderfully good moments and as I am continually growing and learning and trying to daily shed the grip I seem to keep on my sin-- I am resolving to have a better attitude towards the holiday season and not be grump.
