Dinner with Babs

Today was a typical day at work. Me and the clients made Easter goodie baskets. oh what fun.. it was really that wasn't sarcastic Astrid speaking. After that an afternoon of playing the Nintendo Wii.. yea I know my job really it so excruciating hard but someone's gotta do it. Anyways after work I wanted to look up one of my fav older peeps.. Babs-- aka Barbara. Recently she had a bad fall and had to have stitches but that lady God bless her is super resilient. So I just wanted to check up on her and well 4 hours later-- we're a couple of chatterboxes we are.. it was a good afternoon. We just sat and talked and talked and ate-- she's such a grandma-- trying to feed me every chance she can-- well i didn't really say no. So we had this lovely homemade soup and these crazy sandwiches with her homemade bbq sauce that's kind of like a bbq salsa.. it was delicious. finally she forced some yummy cake and ice cream down my throat. The best part of the afternoon was being able to sit and listen to the quiet. She perpetually has worship music playing throughout her house..no words-- but surprisingly i knew all of the songs and tried to sing the words for her-- sadly i only knew one line and kept repeating this over and over-- ah Astrid when will she learn the lyrics to any song.
Good food. good fellowship. Great God who loves us.
