Hiya

My modem was in a fight with the electrical wiring in my apartment and well the apt won. But after a week of not being online...i actually kind of missed it. So lots of fun stuff has happened the last week and a half. My sweet friend Amy ran a marathon and I was a witness to 30,000 or so crazy other folks just like her...Her mom and I rode these trolley round San Diego in hopes to catch a glimpse of her... but at last we missed her cuz she was so darn fast... well at mile 6 anyway... mile 18 on the other hand -- she had time to talk.. Then my beloved camera Emory died as she was on the 200 yard stretch ...I was so mad at it.. I almost threw it down the bleachers...but then i'd be sad cuz I'd have to but a new one.. well don't tell Em but I'm going to anyway... and sadly I must upgrade to a digital.. well until I can get a rockin heavy duty nikon with wide lense...grrr julie and amy i envy yall's cameras.. guess what I'm watching right now.. yay that's right the French open...Federer and Monflis--some french dude. Sadness Serena alright out at the quarters but Kunetzsiva--wow that is so not how she spells it.. Ok back to the past.. So watching all those discipline athletes made me think I can really do this. I just have to train. Make it a goal Astrid... Well I said I was gonna train for the Long Beach Half and thus far I have started training.. June 1st Day one-- ran 3 miles-- well walked one...at Wilson Park. Day 2 ran the entire 3 miles.. Day 3-- uh today.. raining-- so going to work on strength traning... Current status still going strong.. Please check in and make sure I keep up with my discipline. Eating has also changed. After I got back I've been trying to not eat as much crappy stuff.. I'm also a little addicted to this electrolyte blocks that we scored at the Marathon expo-- love swag.. even though I was running.. I so walked out with a grip of goodies.

Speaking of disicpline-- spiritually and this is most important.. I'm also needing accountability in this.. My patience and love is wanning for the people I work with. Though I find joy in what I do...working with my clients... I seem to begrudge the part where I'm in contact with the staff who are lame, heinous, offensive..etc... I'm trying to just pray for them and ocassionally some of them ask me questions about my faith...but for the most part we are not to discuss religon at work.. hmmm wondering if I can loop hole that with the fact that I don't have a religon per se rather a relationship with Christ-- I'm only talking about my best friend.. who coincidentally die for your sin, rose and is living and coming back soon!

Well that's pretty much it I think as far as latest in Astridland... Oh yeah.. Way excited about Resolved 2009. I can't wait!!!! Gracie you better come. Susie and I will miss you roomie.. ladies of gap-- please tell me your superhero persona for the sweet shirts suz and I will make. Amy we know you're wonder woman.. though I think marathon mama works too. :-)
