Loathing gift cards that do not work...

So recently I had a birthday and apparently everyone wants to feed me so I got a Wendy's gift card I can't use and a Carl's Jr card I had to practically kill some employees to use... seriously though what's up with these lame fast food gift cards. I'm pretty peeved at the stupid looks I get from these employees like I'm trying to rip them off... really people... I just want a freakin frosty.. so I do have a few more chance to use a gift card one for the movies and one for CPK. I'm hoping they work. If not I'm writing off all gift cards... No More Cards-- from fast food places.. I think this is an evil scam and people just don't care enough to report it when they get a lame card.-- Really though this is very trivial-- I think i'm more upset at the fact that employees at these establishments lack the knowledge to appease me the customer.. trust me i used to work at Mc Donald's and I definitely had answers or could find someone who did..
