It's been a while

So hiya.. what's up? Haven't been too faithful in this whole blogging thing in the new year but i'll be back into the swing of things hopefully if I ever get my internet turned back on. Anywho what have I been doing as of late. Working... Getting soaked in the rain.. I have a love hate relationship with the rain in Cali-- it's great and beautiful when it rains-- though I miss all the cool aspects of a good storm like the thunder and lighting... unfortunately people in Cali are horrible rain drivers.. when it pours people are adamant that means oh i guess i should drive even faster--- and woah when it floods-- people think hmmm wonder if my car can transform into a hydroplaning boat.. and yipee lets play bumper boats.. yeah so i've seen some interesting driving in the last couple of days. o how I sometimes miss those southern rainfalls--cold rain on hot summer days.. right now it's just freakin cold... anyways what else i got to spend some time with my beloved holly burr-- tre fun. then Susie got back and we gabbed. She had fun. Can't wait to see my future roomie.. speaking of went apt hunting in the rain and found a couple of good places.. still have more to look at and hopefully Suze and I can go this Sat and knock out like 10 more places. Still Cali is ridiculous on rent. Really some of these places are very sketch and so not worth the 1000 plus rent. But I'm looking forward to living on my own for a while. Pray for this to be God's will for me and the girls and for finances. Oh so much more fun stuff.
Riverdance..saw this with Amy at the Pantages.. uber fun and a new dance to add to my list of dances to learn.. I miss my latin dance classes. It was fun gettin gussied up and going out on the town. The show was fun-- though I'm sleepy Mcsleeperstin lately and I nodded off a few times during the calming lullaby-ish singing in-between the riverdancing. Oh and there was this cool part where these two guys were tapping and then three riverdancer guys came out and it was a dance off-- very fun.. it's always interesting that we as Americans-- an most Western cultures always have to have that element of competition. We such win/lose driven peoples. It was pretty fun.
What else... oh yeah Adam and I make a picnic lunch.. stuffed Italian peppers.. it was a fun process though there was a little tension.. 19 more(don't worry i'm not really holding you to this)
Anyways. What should have taken 45 mins turned into 2 and half-- we did have to go the grocery store and ended up making pasta and a fruit salad.. but still I was starving and we all know astrid get super cranky when she hasn't eaten every 4 hours.. but we made it.. picnic was great -- little chilly but nice and then our study in Luke. Yup we finally finished Acts. We read through the first 25 verses or so-- when the angel Gabriel announces the birth of John. I always think it is interesting that when men in the bible see an angel of the Lord they are afraid..though it makes sense. I mean how spectacular would that be to see an angel.. I'd be pretty startled..but then the angel always says Fear Not... So we aren't supposed to be afraid-- the angel is sent by God for a specific purpose...Also when Zechariah begins to questions God's ability and doubt I love how he was made mute. Our first instinct is to ask question God's power. Hello he's God. He created the world, why would we think he could not allow Elizabeth to concieve at her old age. So I'm thinking about this and well it makes me realize that there are alot of areas where I often lack faith in God's abundant power and sovereignty. This is sin and foolish on my part. So I'm learning to when God presents difficult situations in my life or what seems impossible on my part-- to realize that our God is the God of possibilites and answering prayers in his will.
I love reading at the park. I'm going to do that more. Oh and afterwords.. went to see Avatar.. pretty good.

I know, hunh. An angel arrives. His appearance is frightening so you know it didn't look like Moshe the next door neighbor. Gabriel makes the happy announcement,Your PRAYERS have been heard and your son will be a special servant of God. And Zacharias says, Prove it. :-o What chutzpah!
Compare this with Mary's response to news of an unnatural situation... "I don't understand."
