VBS days 2 and 3

VBS is continually getting better. I'm very excited and impressed with the kids and what they are able to learn. Day 2 they were challenged to Go Risk...story of Esther risking her life to save her people and herself from the impending death sentence of her husband the king. Thankfully because of her trust in God, faith and the risk she took, she was able to save so many lives. It's amazing to think that anyone could do that.. risk their life to save the lives of others... and yet we have some one who loving died for us. If we think about what it means to risk-- to do something inspite of the outcome-- whether it be dangerous or unfavorable to us.. well I realize that I'm definitely not a risk taker and I should be. Going through VBS always opens my eyes as it should..to the many things I'm lacking that I'm teaching the kids.. hmm Astrid Be an example!!! So I'm going to GO RISK too..
Day 3 or today rather was GO TELL -- the challenge- to tell everyone about Jesus. Today the kids heard the story of how Jesus died on the cross for us-- sinners..Our sin paid with his blood.. but he didn't stay dead. No he rose again. I've always like that Christ revealed himself to these women come to care for his body. That he asked these women to tell the disicples about how he is ALIVE. SO we must also be bold like these women despite the fact that a resurrection seems impossible to the world and unbelievers- but that is b/c man is always limited while God is limitless and with God all things are possible. Go TELL -- JESUS IS ALIVE!!!!!
