VBS
So Vaction Bible school has started up again and to be honest I wasn't really looking forward to this year's VBS. I was willing to volunteer my time for certain things but then I was unwillingly put into another area--decided upon my so-called gifts. I've always had a hard time thinking of my energy and enthusiasm as a gift... It's just my character. I do miss working with kids. Anyways as the day is going -- crazy things at work are happening.. then ergh!!!! VBS. So I arrive and I'm in stomach crampland... Yay!!!! she says sarcastically. Then the night starts. Well thanks to God for Lois and Chad. They were such a help during the whole thing. I'm amazed at how patient and easy going Lois is... definitely the picture of a gentle and quiet spirit... something I'm not...work in progess. So as I'm getting the kids into the service showcase I am seeing these kids learning and understanding our lessons of Leading as Gideon... in particular I was blessed by one of the kids- Jeremiah who was so excited and smart in re-telling the story of Gideon and the trumpets and leading his soliders against the Midianites. I mean this kid was repeating the story practically verbatim...and the best part was he wanted to come back and learn more. Our God is great and he moved my heart today with this child. He opened my eyes and convicted my heart from its unwillingness to wanting and desiring to see more and more these children come to know and love Christ. Monday: God says Go Lead- Judges 7:1-22. Stay tuned
