TGIF

glad it's friday this has been a long week. started off with a holiday easter- had to work but it wasn't so bad... my clients crack me up. love em. then i didn't work easter mon- yeah that didn't make too much sense to me either, but turned out to be a fun day. i got to be a fashion photographer and shoot Susie at the train museum.. i've got rockin fabs pics ill post some of my faves if I can figure it out.. if not visit and i'll show em to you. tues- work meh then BBQ at Miss Amy's to remember our dear Mike who is singing praises to our wonderful savior in heaven at this very moment... all i can say is I miss him and I can't wait to sing with him. It was very nice. I was glad to see the gap family and his family come together and hang out. It was a low key nite with good food and good conversation-- though i do realize that i was a pillow and chaser for most of the night with Ed's kids. I'm soooooo glad that Andrew is so much more lively.. he was too serious at 1. It's been three years since Mike died and what growing up I have done.. many of us... it's been hard some times.. you want very much to share your growth with the one who initially nudged you along but I realized that I'm growing because of his absence. I can never really ever convey how much Mike really meant to me-- as he means so much more to his Amy and family...but I am infinitely grateful to God for planning for us to cross paths when we did. Wow our Lord surely knows what he is doing.
The rest of the week was work.. though on Thurs I was surprised at my mom's candidness at Bible study. Pray for her. She has been hurting for a long time in a very loveless marriage and though i think she's very spunky, there has been much of her spirit taken away. My mom in her sadness showed a vulnerability that burdens my heart. i am so very glad she knows the Lord and I am praying she will continue to grow in her knowledge of him.
Now it's friday and I'm tired. Went for a run. Susie's at work. Elisabeth's at practice. and I'm gonna relax.
PS I totally finally had meat on my cheesecake.. coincidentally it was bacon-- BACON! what could be a better combo... nothing I tell you nothing. Elisabeth did cringe as ate them together.. oh well her loss..
